Fly the bankers home
Apologies for the shorter Tide today, it’s currently 9am (as I’m typing) and I have to be in Wanchai for 9:45 to replace my ID.
I somehow dropped my wallet in a van. Or at least that’s the most likely conclusion. I lose things a lot.

The boat goes
Alexei Mordashov's super yacht 'Nord' left Hong Kong yesterday, VesselFinder and MarineTraffic confirmed. The boat, previously docked off Stonecutters Island, left Victoria Harbour at 3:36pm. By 5:36pm it was at the Po Toi Islands off the coast of Stanley.
The super yacht is set to travel to Cape Town, South Africa, arriving on 9 Nov.
Nord caused quite a diplomatic stir during its time in Hong Kong. Owner Russian Oligarch Mordashov is sanctioned by the US and other allied countries, but despite requests from Washington, Hong Kong refused to remove the super yacht. CE John Lee said that there is no legal precedent to removing the yacht, as Hong Kong is not bound by “unilateral sanctions” and only complies with UN sanctions.
In response, Washington warned that Hong Kong would become a haven for those evading international responsibility.
You know, historically speaking, that is pretty in character for Hong Kong.

COVID+ Bankers can fly home privately
Despite COVID rules unlikely to be changed, the high profile banking summit is set to go ahead with the Health Bureau and Monetary Authority currently discussing details on restrictions.
The option of allowing COVID positive bankers fly home on private jets, should they be infected during the VIP bankers conference in November, has been touted by planners. How exactly to get the bankers from their residence to their jets in a closed loop is still being ironed out.
Those without access to their own flying machines may choose to quarantine in their hotel room - most bankers will be staying at the Four Seasons.
They will not be allowed to fly on commercial flights.

On 22nd October 2022, we will be conducting an afternoon of TedX-style talks focusing on raising awareness on performers and mental health.
When: 22 Oct, 3:30 - 5pm
