Miniso rebrands to become more Chinese (did you know they were Chinese? I didn't)
Some guy at the pub said that British Singaporean Chow Mein is different from HK style Singaporean fried noodles (i.e. 星州炒米). Apparently the sauce is based on a madras curry, rather than the dry curry powder used in an HK version.
The irony is, living in Chinatown means I can actually only get legitimate and authentic Chinese food around here. Even with the beauty of deliveroo, it took me about 20 minutes of searching before I could find a truly English Chinese takeaway.
This is what they call suffering from success.
