Good morning,
Do you follow us on LinkedIn (as well as our more pushed platforms)? You should because we put all our weekly roundups in super fun infographic form exclusively there.
I mean just look at it. You definitely need some of these roundups in your life.
Why exclusively on LinkedIn? I haven’t really thought that deeply about it except I think it looks better there than it does on Instagram. Although I guess I could post them on Twitter too or something. Open to suggestions!

Liberal Party vs Liberal Party
The Liberal Party is going through another internal scuffle after three honourary chairs - James Tien, Selina Chow and Miriam Lau - handed in resignation letters following an meeting by the Party to abolish honourary chair positions. The agenda of the meeting was not disclosed.
After finding out about the motion, the three honourary chairs resigned in anger. Tien said the Party “left him no choice” because his opinions were “no longer valuable”. Chow called the move “callous” and “unacceptable”. Lau expressed “disappointment” in the party’s leadership (ouch, worst blow out of the three!)
Thomas Cheung, Chairman of the Liberal Party said he felt “deep regret” over the resignations and is trying to convince them to stay.
2019 part 2?
In 2019, a similar scuffle emerged but the other way around. Four honourary chairs - our three protagonists and Vincent Fang - sent a letter asking Thomas Cheung to resign from ExCo after the Party released a statement in support of the Extradition Bill.
Cheung had hastily put the statement together with Frankie Yick and Shiu Ka-Fai even though leader of the party at the time, Felix Chung (chairman =/= leader) was against the bill.
Tien said that although the Liberal Party are pro-government, they can’t just throw their weight behind everything the government does when it’s clear the public doesn’t think the same way.

Macau sticks to Mainland curbs
CE of Macau Ho Iat-Seng has reaffirmed the city’s position to follow Mainland COVID policies in order to keep the border between Macau and China relatively open. This came after calls for Macau to open up ‘Green Lanes’ for international travelers.
Beijing to London non-stop
The British Embassy in China, and the Chinese Aviation Administration have announced that work is being done on re-starting direct CN - UK flights which were halted for COVID-19.
It was just a prank bro
Ex-Hong Kong airlines staff Lau Siu-Wang has been sentenced to 80 hours of communtiy service for his prank on former CE C.Y. Leung’s son Leung Chuen-Yan.
In 2019, Lau, who had access to flight booking details, changed Leung Chuen-Yan’s username on HK Express to ‘Leung Shit’ and added over $3000 worth of add-ons including 24 in flight meals and five different luggage quotas.
Pleading guilty, Lau said he did it because he found it “very funny”.
Truly a jester on the level of uh…Youtube pranks
