Independent news publication Harbour Times is recruiting a social media marketing intern to fulfil an unpaid remote internship. We are looking for someone who is familiar with the platforms Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn and is interested in strengthening their skills with curating, managing, and creating relevant content. The New York Times, Atlantic, and Morning Brew are great examples of how we expect to model our profile.
What you’ll be doing
Publishing posts, photos, quizzes, polls, and promoting Harbour Times' latest articles and newsletters across platforms.
Engaging with audiences and the local community online.
Capturing the tone of Harbour Times.
Building on social media insights and analytics to inform future activity.
Reporting directly to the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor-in-Chief, maintaining communication on any relevant updates and/or responsibilities.
What you have
Basic understanding or willingness to use Adobe Illustrator or similar graphic design programs.
Familiarity with the aforementioned social media platforms.
Understanding of social media insights and analytics.
