The Big Picture
Someone has been killing Hong Kong’s dogs and getting away with it. After a number of pets have died of poisoned luncheon meat at Hong Kong’s parks, professionals warn dog owners to avoid Cyberport and Repulse Bay as well as parks in Sai Kung. Check out our article for further details on safety and preventative measures; it could save your furry friend's life.
Carrie Lam confirms that dual citizens will not be recognised under HK law. This applies to all Chinese nationals in HK who hold nationality or right of abode to another country.
An online radio host known as "Giggs" has been charged with sedition under the NSL. Giggs is connected to a crowdfunding campaign to help HK students study in Taiwan, but police did not disclose the reasons for the sedition charges. This would be his second time arrested by NSL police.
COVID-19: Cases may be on the decline but watch out, as lockdown may make a comeback. Curfew for dining-in was extended from 6-10 PM and the number of diners at a table increased from two to four. According to a survey conducted by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce earlier this month, "nearly 60% of respondents said they are likely to go out of business over the next 3 months if the current social distancing restrictions were to continue".
