Seven slapped by security law

Security law charges have been handed to seven people accused of trying to get others to commit subversion against the SAR government. All of those charged reportedly belong to a pro-independence group called Returning Valiant. Their members have been charged in the past for conspiracy to commit terrorism.
Also, a security law trial in the District Court began yesterday concerning a man who repeatedly called for Hong Kong independence, including the use of slogans at protests.

Other political updates:
A government investigator has received a warrant to search the Next Digital premises and look into their financial affairs.
CY Leung tried – and failed – to expose the names of teachers who committed professional misconduct.
