I cannot believe Iâm about to talk to you about a lost snail.
Cyril insisted that I share the story of Boy Boy, the pet snail of a woman who claims she lost her beloved slime baby whilst on the MTR this past Sunday.
If youâre approached by a snail searching for its owner Ng, please get in touch with her at 92885442 or 52828643.
This is not a bit. I almost wish it was.
â Jasmine âI basically grew up in cold Hong Kongâ Lee
PS Minor plug, but I thought some of our readers would enjoy seeing bits of Hong Kong in other parts of the world. I took this photo in Markham, a âcityâ located a half-hour drive (in good traffic) northeast of downtown Toronto.

Sedition charges for Jimmy Lai and former Apple staff
Jimmy Lai, six other ex-senior Apple Daily staff, and three associated companies have been charged with conspiracy to publish seditious publications intending to incite hatred against the Hong Kong judiciary, HKSAR and mainland Chinese governments. Other accusations include the claim they were encouraging HK residents to resort to violence and unlawful behaviour between April 2019 to June 2021.
Other protest-related news updates:
Three people have received jail sentences of up to 4.5 years over arson at Kowloon Tong MTR Station during an anti-government protest in October 2019.
Nine people have been found guilty of rioting in the Polytechnic University area in November 2019. At this time during the height of the anti-government protests, police had surrounded violent protesters on the university campus.
Air cargo staff face stricter quarantine measures
The crew working in air cargo will have to quarantine for three days when they arrive in Hong Kong due to the growing imported cases of Omicron and worries of a âfifth waveâ.
Two residential blocks in Discovery Bay and Tuen Mun were placed under mandatory lockdown and testing. Others who have been in the building areas during the designated period (5-28 December) are required to undergo testing as well.
Government aid for domestic helpers will be extended to continue assistance with stressors caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

New cases: 6 (imported)
Five of the new cases are of the N501Y and T478K mutant strains. Two of the new cases are local aircrew members.
