What’s John Lee up to?
Politics
John Lee – if he wasn’t before – is now a very busy man. Even before he won the election in which he ran unopposed, he said he and his team worked very hard to earn the title of Chief Executive.
“So it was my personal efforts.”
— John Lee
Lee said yesterday that his administration will be putting their efforts towards upkeeping HK’s ‘one country, two systems’ principle. He made several visits yesterday in the city – seven in total – to see senior local and Beijing officials, including outgoing CE Carrlie Lam and officials from Beijing’s liaison office. Many things about government restructuring, national security, and other super-important-top-priority issues.
If you’re interested in learning more about HK’s new ‘first lady’, here is SCMP’s paywalled article about Janet Lam that I don’t have access to.
