Good morning.
No love letters from me today (although you can re-read the one I shared yesterday), but I do have a cheeky tweet that I posted today after experiencing the mess that is Gatwick Airport.

Mr Costello of HK’s Irish Consulate threw me a like, so that’s all the digital validation I need for anywhere between the next 2 to 46 hours. You could further enable my need for your validation by sharing High Tide or becoming a Premium Subscriber.

Mourning Japan’s former Prime Minister’s death
The Consulate General of Japan in Hong Kong made a book of condolences available for people to sign and mourn (some brought white flowers) until the end of today. In addition to the book, the Japanese flag was hung at half-mast in Central’s Exchange Square yesterday.
Wristband regulation begins this week

Hong Kong will be making people under at-home isolation due to COVID-19 wear an electronic wristband to ensure they’re staying put at home, just as the at-home quarantine gods intended.
