Now that the holiday season is approaching, Iâd like to share a great list of things that you can gift the minimalist(s) in your life (like me!).
Audiobooks and video games are two other ideas I thought of that I didnât see on the list. Let me know if there are any other good minimalist gift ideas we missed!

Your power bill is going up đŹ
As of the new year, the cost of electricity is set to rise 7% on Hong Kong Island and 5.8% in the New Territories and Kowloon.
Hong Kong relies on natural gas for its power and according to HK Electric and CLP, increasing natural gas prices â by 60%! â are the reason for the coming changes. This means that households of three people will be paying about $20 more a month for their electricity.
Itâs pretty obvious who will be the most impacted by the price increase for electricity: the poor (especially those living in subdivided flats) and the struggling food and beverage sector will carry greater burdens with the bigger bills coming their way.

Arrests ahead of LegCo polls
Three people were arrested for allegedly encouraging others online to send in blank votes in the Legislative Council elections this December.
One woman and two men were arrested and charged under the Election Ordinance, which forbids people from doing what they did â incite others to either cast a blank ballot or not vote at all. The three have since been released on bail.
They are facing up to three years in jail and a HK$200,000 fine for the crime they committed.
