Flights and rooms in limited numbers even with restriction changes

COVID-19

The government will reinstate passenger flights on 1 April from a number of countries that had been previously banned in the pandemic, but the number of flights and quarantine hotel rooms to accommodate passengers remain rather limited.

  • New cases: 14,152 (4,296 PCR tests, 9,856 RATs)

  • Deaths: 245

Lockdown updates

  • 288 infections were found after overnight testing

Testing is required for those who were present at 10 specified locations in Tuen Mun, Sha Tin, Tai Po, Tseung Kwan O, Shek Kip Mei, Wong Tai Sin, Kwai Chung, Lam Tin and Chai Wan. See the Annex for details.

LeaveHomeSafe app testing orders have been reactivated to let people who have been to high-risk spots know that they need to take a COVID test.

Two men were arrested for allegedly ignoring isolation rules while infected with COVID-19 and posting encouragements to spread the virus online.
