HK reports third Omicron case
This Sunday, HK recorded its third confirmed Omicron caseâa 37-year-old man who arrived from Nigeria last Wednesday. The man was undergoing quarantine at the Ramada Hong Kong Grand View hotel in North Point before testing positive on his third day. Another two Omicron cases were reported last week. Officials say that all three imported cases have been contained and progress on reopening the border with mainland China has not been affected.
Anyone arriving in Hong Kong from countries with reported cases of the Omicron variant will undergo 21 days of quarantine, officials announced on Monday.

Earlier this month, the central government and the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organisation agreed to set up a new arbitration centre in Hong Kong. Yesterday, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang hailed the plans as a major step in providing âmore convenient and efficient dispute resolution servicesâ for parties in both regions.
The centre will handle trade and investment disputes pertaining to Asia and Africa. It will be the sixth of its kind, with similar institutions already established in places such as Kuala Lumpur and Nairobi.
