Simpsons episode removed from Disney+ for Tiananmen Massacre jabs

Nothing at all.

The Simpson’s Season 16 Episode 12 “Goo Goo Gai Pan” has been removed from Disney+ due to references to the Tiananmen Square Massacre 1989. The references include the famous Tank Man photo and a plaque (pictured above) that says "Tien An Men Square: On this site, in 1989, nothing happened."

The streaming service, which was recently launched in Hong Kong, has had similar controversy with the Marvel movie Shang Chi, although the film was not pulled from the platform.
